SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Neighborhood

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regards to the higher range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support position made for intervention activities a superior inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources more info to allow the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
